After experiencing first hand the difficulties of managing production on the other side of the world, we founded our company to assist manufacturers with their global sourcing challenges.  In response to customer needs, we focused on forging, casting, machining, and fabrication. We appreciate the stringent specifications of the parts and the relationships we have built with both suppliers and customers. We are both thankful and proud that the early customers that shaped the direction of our company are still with us today.

In 2015, we changed the trade name of the company from The Janssen Boas Company to JB Metalcraft to better reflect the work we do.

The founders

Noah Janssen

Noah spent ten years based in Shanghai, developing the company’s China operations and building relationships with manufacturing partners. Noah has assisted a range of world class companies source challenging parts, from Caltech University to Walt Disney Imagineering. In Shanghai, he was an active member of the American Chamber of Commerce’s Sourcing and Procurement Committee.  Noah studied Economics at Vassar College and received an MBA from the Stern School of Business at New York University. He is currently based in Brooklyn, New York.
Anthony Boas

Anthony’s experience in sourcing from Asia goes back to the 1980’s. He has addressed audiences about global sourcing at APICS, the MIT Sloan School of Management, and the Williams Club New York. He is a former member of the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce and served on the Board of the San Francisco Civic Center Community Benefit District.  Anthony graduated from University of California, Berkeley, and received an MBA from the Stern School of Business at New York University.
